Patrick Bateman

Vicar

Patrick worked as a futures trader in the City of London before being ordained. This then took him to serving churches in Wallington and Chipstead in Surrey; Ilkley in Yorkshire and then back south to Claygate. Locally, Patrick might be seen with his three black Labradors or on his bike. Or in one of the local pubs as part of his monthly ‘meet the people’ vicar’s pub crawl.

Richard Rugg

Associate Vicar

Richard spent three years in IT as a network administrator before becoming a Children and Youth Minister and, following theological training, being ordained. His spare time involves keeping fit, watching football, family days out and playing on his Sony PlayStation.

Stuart Sadler

Curate

Stuart combines his church role with being Vice President of a Surrey technology company. He’s passionate about ‘faith in the workplace’, believing there should be no divide between the sacred and the secular. Somehow he also manages to squeeze in travel and cycling.

Tom Hill

Tom is married to Megan and they have two young daughters. His first career was in the Metropolitan Police, working in a variety of roles across south London and Scotland Yard. Before joining Holy Trinity, Tom was worship pastor at St Paul’s, Dorking. Outside of work Tom loves playing and watching football and cricket.

Katherine Willis

Ordinand in Training

Katherine’s working life began teaching chemistry in a boys’ boarding school. More recently she was the assistant administrator at Holy Trinity. Currently training for ordination, in Katherine’s limited spare time includes walking, reading and quilting.

Louise Crudgington

Vicar’s Assistant

Alongside her role at Holy Trinity Claygate, Louise is Finance and HR Manager at her family’s Surrey-based retail maintenance business. Fun for her – when she can find the time – involves skiing in the sun. But mostly it’s time with her family and friends.

Janet Watkins

Administration Manager

Janet was previously part of Marks & Spencer’s commercial management team. To relax she travels, drinks good coffee, spends time with friends and family, and samples gins from around the UK.

Brian Howells

Operations Manager

Brian spent 30 years in financial services. Currently he’s Chair of The Dylan Howells Foundation – a charity in memory of his son who died suddenly in 2016. Brian is also a school governor, a trustee of Claygate Village Hall Association and, as an avid supporter of Welsh rugby, a debenture holder at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

Jen Green

Jen’s previous life includes 10 years in corporate fleet management before joining Claygate Primary School as an admin assistant and home school link worker. Married to Alex and mummy to Aiden, she loves a good box set, singing and has taken up crochet.

Dave Curtis

Facilities Manager

Dave’s former employment was bespoke metal fabrication and shop fitting. This included water features for Chelsea flower show and work on stately homes and religious buildings around the world. Fun for Dave includes tinkering with motorcycles, metalwork projects and pub quizzes.

Pippa Cramer

Pastoral Care and Seniors Minister

Pippa was previously an occupational therapist in the NHS. Her spare time involves friends, family, walking – and caring for a menagerie of animals including dogs, cats and guinea pigs. Her dream is to have pet goats in her back garden!

Helen worked in advertising before becoming a languages teacher and then raising a family. She lists her hobbies as running/staggering to clear the cobwebs away, seeing friends, the theatre and reading ‘if I get time’.

Julia Howells

Julia was an HR Director for many years. Her spare time is spent with her children, usually beside a swimming pool as they train or compete. When having a moment to herself Julia enjoys a cup of tea or glass of wine depending on the time of day, and a good TV box set.

Holly Byles

Youth Minister

A trained actress, Holly has worked in musical theatre performing in pantos and with touring companies. More recently she was a youth pastor in Kent and worked with a detached youth work Christian charity. To relax, Holly loves card and board games.

Children and Families Minister

Ada trained as a teacher and then went into youth work, worked as a school supervisor and was a school governor. A break to raise her two girls was followed by being a Year 6 teaching assistant. Ada’s spare time includes family and friends and being creative – anything from arts and crafts to gardening and cooking.

Vicky’s almost 30 year career in childcare and development started by volunteering for a charity giving respite care to vulnerable children and adults. Outside of Jigsaw she admits to being a huge superhero fan and a star wars geek. Should she ever grow up her dream is to be a Wookie.

Anna Lise Gordon

Anna Lise enthuses about her full-time job as Director of the Institute of Education at St Mary’s University training 1,000 teachers a year. She says, she’s ‘surrounded by amazing colleagues and students who are making a difference for children and young people every day’. With a love of languages – Anna Lise speaks four – no wonder she also loves to travel.

Following a career in banking, Bill is now head of fundraising at CSW (Christian Solidarity Worldwide). He loves walking in the Surrey hills, reading and cooking. As a canny Scot, Bill supports England at cricket and Scotland in every other sport.

Duncan’s day job is the CRM Database Manager at Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) UK.  His down time combines his family, brewing, planes, cricket and sport generally. On the horizon is the dream to visit Antarctica and Bhutan.
